Francisco Patricio born in Coimbra, Portugal, discovered his passion for movement at the young age of three. His talent and discipline propelled him to train at Europe’s leading dance institutions, including the prestigious National Conservatory Dance School in Lisbon, Ballettschule Theater Basel in Switzerland, and the Ecole Supérieure de Danse de Marseille in France.

Francisco’s potential was recognized on the international stage when he competed in the 33rd Prix de Lausanne, a career-defining moment that awarded him a scholarship to further his training in Basel. He soon earned opportunities to work and perform with renowned companies such as the Ballet National de Marseille and Ballett Theater Basel, sharing the stage in works by visionary choreographers like Andonis Foniadakis, Sharon Eyal, Johan Inger, Imre & Marne van Opstal, Bryan Arias, Marcos Morau, Richard Wherlock, Alexander Ekman, among others.

While excelling as a performer, Francisco simultaneously emerged as a dynamic choreographer, premiering original works at high-profile festivals, including the Future Dance Festival NYC, Finding Compassion Festival, Fuse Festival UK, and Dance Basel. His choreography reflects a bold and boundary-pushing aesthetic, with pieces commissioned by international dance companies, pre-professional ensembles, and educational institutions such as Kayzer Ballet,  Braswell Arts Center, Swiss Offspring Company and Ballet Junior da Madeira.

Since 2023, Francisco has embraced the freedom of freelancing as a choreographer, dancer, teacher, and model, collaborating across multiple disciplines. With a focus on merging dance, fashion, and visual arts, he continuously explores innovative ways to express his artistic identity.

In 2024, he worked with Company Idem in a new production comissation by Théâtre Benno Besson in Yverdons-les-Bains, where he also performed and toured with the company in Italy, Germany and Switzerland. He created a new piece for the Ballet Junior da Madeira to be premiered in June 2025, and currently is working with Andonis Foniadakis in a new creation for Maria Callas Theater in Athens, Greece.

Francisco’s multidisciplinary approach makes him a sought-after talent in today’s entertainment landscape. His ability to transcend genres—from performing on prestigious stages to choreographing for global festivals—positions him as a versatile artist ready to collaborate with brands, productions, and creatives worldwide.
